G.L.K. Lettings
Kit Care works in partnership with G.L.K. Lettings and this ensures our client's have a legally separate contract between the care and the home people live in - Kit Care supports people in their own homes - even the big shared houses.
Client's can have help to understand the tenancy with our easy read version and time to learn what it means and the court of protection can sign these on your behalf if it does not make sense.
Kit Care support staff will help you manage your tenancy (keeping it clean and helping everyone get along together) and family or financial advocates can help you keep up with rent.
A residential care home is owned by the carers,
supported living it is YOUR home where the carers visit

There are currently three shared houses that Kitcare work in:

-
Tilly House, Chaddesden - 7 bed young people and long term.
-
Isobel House, Alvaston - 9 bed + 2 bungalows to rear mixed generations and long term.
-
Chesapeake House - 8 bed + 3 bungalows to the rear, mixed generation and long term

After the initial assessment we invite you to visit the suitable house/s and you can meet people and see for your self what it is like to live there. During ongoing assessment we encourage visits and to sleep over to really get a sense of whether or not it is the right place for you - this is a free service!

Transitions can take time as we have learnt that in a shared environment it is essential people are matched well and everyone gets along.
